Review of Tom Lake

I saw this author doing a TV interview a few weeks ago and I was so impressed with her I knew I wanted to buy this book. This is a great family story! Lara’s three daughters return to their family orchard during the Covid summer of 2020. Lara and her husband Joe are thrilled to have them home. As they all work to harvest the cherries from the orchard the girls beg Lara to tell them the story of her life at their age and how she knew the famous actor Peter Duke. Over the course of the book Lara tells her story and the book is written in dual timelines from summer 2020 and Lara’s younger life. This was a beautifully written book with some surprising revelations. Pick this up if you love a story about relationships past and present and how they impact and define your life today.
