Review of Daughter of Mine

I love Megan Miranda’s books and this might be my new favourite! Hazel returns home to Mirror Lake for her father’s memorial service and once back home she discovers she has surprisingly been left his house. Her brothers are not pleased and make their feelings known. Thanks to a drought the lake is becoming shallower and some crimes and mysteries are now being unveiled. Hazel’s family seems to be at the center of some of the intrigue. What secrets did her dad and brothers know about? There is a lot of suspense and intrigue in this plot and I loved it. The writing was very atmospheric and you felt transported to Mirror Lake and its mysteries. If you love suspense mixed with family drama make sure you pick up this one.
