From Here to the Great Unknown: A Memoir

I was interested in this memoir for various reasons. Some of them were that I liked Riley Keough in Daisy Jones and I was curious about her life and the life of her mother, Lisa Marie Presley. Of course Elvis Presley is Riley’s grandfather so there has always been media attention and interest in Lisa Marie. I wondered about her marriage to Michael Jackson and whether or not it was real and that is addressed in the book. Riley had agreed to help Lisa write her book a few months before her untimely death. Luckily Lisa left hours of audio she had done for the book so Riley had that to work with. In amongst Lisa’s narration Riley fills in some areas and at times she lets us in on her memories. Both Lisa Marie and Riley have lived very unusual and interesting lives and many details are shared in the book. I found this to be an intriguing and honest memoir!
